Default technological angler worth it?

I plan on getting the HB 859ci HD DI and really don't have much experience with advanced fish finders. It seems like his videos are mostly related to SI. Would any of you recommend it for someone without SI? Thanks

To be honest. I think they are a great deal. The video's the technological anger has allows you to better utilize the electronics that you spent money on. Why have advanced electronics if your not going to learn how to use them and interpret what they are showing.

I have it and I think the free videos on youtube are just as good. Although at $16 it's not a bad buy.

The videos are well made and in HD but you can find similar or even better info from YouTube videos. If money is tight for you I would watch YouTube videos first.

x2

Lots of great YouTube videos. I purchased the 2 videos and card at a show he was at and after watching wasn't overly wowed with information but then again I already spent a winter watching and reading everything I could and I work in IT so that might explain some. I don't think it was a waste of money but probably should have just purchased earlier. Goes over DI,2d and Side so most of the info is good for your set-up. You can download and save some money as well FYI and it allows you to burn to DVD from what he stated. I just purchased the DVD as I figured I would watch a few times and then post for sale.

Enjoy you new electronics either way!

I have both of them and very much recommend Jason's videos. He is a first class educator. Yes there are videos on YouTube but I think Jason takes it one step further. Besides, the cinematography is awesome.
