Default Garmin 73SV wiring diagram questions

I am trying to install my Garmin 73SV and it has a Red, black and blue wire, along with a bare grounding wire. The instructions / schematic say to hook the red up to the positive and black to the negative. It says nothing about the blue lead. ??? It says the blue is the internal port Tx(out). I think it is to connect to NMEA compliant 0183 devices. If I am simply hooking up my 73SV do I just cap this lead and be done??

Yes, just cap it and you are done.

Wow, why don't they just say that in their instructions? Thanks pale ryder

Instructions are written by engineers, they don't think like the rest of us. Which is both good and bad.
