Default Yammy f150 ecu upgrade

Been in contact with Simons motor sports in regarded to a ecu upgrade to my 2013 f150. They tell me they can make the mod to my ecu and push the 150hp up to a 200hp. Has anyone done this on their f150 or on any other motor. If so what was the gains you seen?

That seems like a big power jump for just an ecu flash, but if they could pull it off I'd be interested for sure....what kind of pricing are they quoting for the flash?

$650 plus shipping. And yes that's a lot but that's what there telling me they can push Er to a 200. Looking for a little info from some one that has Mabey done this to a motor already.

Whats that 3 to 4 mph at the most on top end? I would wait until my warranty expired.

I don't have any doubt. Simons know what they are doing.

Also interested in this. I called them after reading the posts about pumping up the verados. I got the same quote to take a 175 to a 200. Does any one know if they dyno test these motors to give you some sort of proof? I don't know if I would be able to tell 25 hp by the seat of my pants

I would bet that you will not see more than a 2 or 3 mph gain in top speed, and you would likely need a new prop as well to see that.
I'm just guessing, but being as the 200 Yami only does 3-4 mph over the 150, and it has more displacement and a different cam than the 150.

Seems like a pretty big power increase for just an ECU flash. If the F150 is the same cc displacement, bore and stroke as the F200, then a new flash could do it as well as the removal of any restrictor plate that might be on the motor.

On the current model Yamahas the F175 and F200 are the same at 2785cc ,but the F150 is less at 2670cc. The models in 2013 may be different but if they have the same displacement differences as the current models F150 and F200, I would think claiming they can get 200hp from a smaller cc engine with only an ECU flash would be a bold statement.

I would be in the same camp. Trust be verify here - I would want to see a dyno before I would move forward.

I also recall hearing the 150 horse yami is a "hot" motor, meaning it is running more than 150 horse out fo the box. So what is the delta between the flash on stock ecu program?
