Default Lowrance/Birds crosstalk??

Currently running 4 lowrance hds gen 1 units in my boat. Over the winter I plan on doing a few mods/changes to the boat and one of these is getting a helix 9or10 for auto chart live. Question is will I be able to keep my lowrance for structure/2d sonar and have the bird for strictly mapping and gps and not have interference? Heard a few bad things about running both together, as far as they don't play nice together.

Default crosstalk

You can definitely run both. Just turn the sonar off on the Bird if you are only using it for GPS. I have two HDS 12 units that i use for sonar and a Humminbird 1159 that i use for GPS and to Link to my Terrova. I didn't install a transducer for the 1159

He wants to use the Helix for Auto Chart Live, which means he will need the Helix sonar on. Read this:

Run each brand on a different frequency, 83 vs 200.

You will have to run the Lowrance on 83kHz because the 200kHz cannot be shut off with Sonar on the HB ...

I am running both with no problems with interference. I am using my in hull Lowrance transducer with an adapter cable for my Helix 10 and my HDS 12 has transom mounted transducer and structure scan transducer.
