Default Alumacraft 205 Tiller/Verdao 200 Stock Prop

Hello all. Looking for what would have been the stock prop in Aluminum for my 200 Verado. Headed to Lake of the Woods for a week of fishing and think it may be a good investment. I would also like a little higher rpm at wide open throttle. Currently running Mercury Enertia 14x 19p RH. TIA

Dave,
If you want more rpm, just run the same prop, except pitch down to a 17 pitch and you will be there.

Hey Dave: First your motor should have come with a 21p. With running a go fast prop like the enertia and the rpm's you are running does not compute. First check to see that your prop is not buried at WOT, as with those numbers you will do damage to your V-Rod. Your rpm's should be no lower than 5800 and top out at 6400. I do fish a lake close to you regularly and do have a couple props in aluminum that i tried on my V-rod when dialing in my motor. If you pick a day maybe we can hook up and see what pitch suits your application...Chico...

A quick run of the numbers show you should be running a 17 or 18p enertia. I'd target 6400rpm lightly loaded. I don't see you gaining more than 100-200rpm by moving motor up based on my experience with this hull. Alot of that gain will result in more prop slip and less grip. I know I have windshield version of this hull, but I ran a 17p enertia and thought it was a good prop, just not enough pitch for my 250. I run a 18p now and probably need a 19p as I can still hit max rpm easily. I have settled with motor position one hole down from highest.

Default Update

Ran a 14.25 x 17 SS yesterday RPM's were up to 6100 and similar performance as the 19. Chico and I had a chat and am going to check my motor height before i do much else. Was nice to see the rpm's up a bit.
