Default Ranger VX1888 WT

Hi,
Does anybody know anything about that boat? Anyone owns one?
I know they say a lot about Ranger weld problems a few years back but I don't see too many complains anymore. Did they fix that issue?
I want to upgrade to a bigger boat ( 3 kids and 2 dogs) but I'm a little afraid and don't want to end up with a lemon. I thought about Starcraft Delta 188 but then I saw a Ranger VX1888 WT and it really looks slick. And the layout is jus perfect.
Any info much appreciated.
Thank you.

The first year they had some weld/finish issues but that's been rectified.

I'd be more worried about the customer service than I would about the welds.

My son-in-law bought one 2 years ago with a 150 E-Tec. Loves it, no issues so far.

Thanks for the response.
How fast does it go with 150? I know it's a heavy boat.

I just picked up a 2018 VS1782 with a 150 last week and have loved it so far that I've had it on the water. Fishes great rides great.
