Lake Vermillion,MN

Going to Lake Vermillion July 5th and would like any input on fishing this time of year. I would fish for any type of fish but would like to get in some walleyes. Trip to LOTW in Canada is a bust so decided to try something different. If the fishing is slow and it is hot might make it a swim day. Is the water there in the summer pretty clear?
