Lakers in Lac Seul

Anybody ever try/succeed on lake trout in LS? There are some deep water areas west of Taylor I a few miles that I've seen on a map, just wondering if anyone has ever actually boated any in the area.

Unless I just had a lot of time to waste, I wouldn't waste my time even trying to catch a lake trout on LS.

Just thinking about alternatives in the event the walleye water goes board flat and the wind dies, or if we're on the way to somewhere else. I would not specifically dedicate a day to it.

Lodge owners on Lac Seul have told me the same thing over the years we have fished that lake:
There was a population of Lake Trout, but were netted out years ago.
