Default Ulterra

So for us guys with new boats sitting at the dealer it sucks having an Ulterra on order and being told April and now today it changed to "at least June". So with no trolling motor I had to order a Terrova so I can use it 5x and then try and sell it. I guess Minn Kota really underestimated the demand. I hope they work well for all this hassle.

I know it might be tough, but try checking cabelas website at 1 am. sometimes they update in the middle of the night, thats how i got mine. 9 pm nothing, 1 am limited stock. bought it instantly. Hopefully you'll get lucky and score one.

Getting a Terrova just to use it 5x and then selling at a loss seems like a lot of hassle and a few $ down the drain. Maybe it's just me. Hope the Terrova sells quickly so you can recoup the cash.

I hear what your saying, but my thinking is they have moved dates so many times. I really don't think it will be June. I'm cooped up all winter, like most of us, and the season is relatively short. I have a new boat and I want to enjoy it so don't need the irritation come June and they then say august. though you are right about the money, i do get the Minn Kota employee discount (relative) so not thinking I'll have it loss. should sell quickly with the discount i can offer. just looking to get my money back. will be pretty much new for much cheaper than what cabela's, etc. are selling it for.

I hear you on the delay. Although I had planned an 80 lb Ulterra for my new yacht I started to get gun shy about production dates moving back and possible unresolved problems. So I did same and went tried and true Terrova. I just won't be able to sell and trade up probably for a good number of years.

if it wasn't for my discount I'd probably just stick with the Terrova, but getting the Ulterra at quite a discount so too hard for me to pass up. even the employees can't get their hands on them!
