Default Ulterra ,w quick release brkt

I have a Maxum pro 48″ Minnkota and want to buy a 60″ Ulterra w I Pilot.I currently have Lowrance electronics.
and a Ranger 619.
Do I need to install a nka 21 quick release bracket?I want to use the same Ranger cover on the boat…
and is this Bracket necessary as my current motor is bolted direct to the boat.
I understand if you can’t raise the motor , this is the only way to get it up if something bad happens.
I don’t want slop in the motor operation….It would only be used if something bad happens and I am miles out in Mille Lacs.

If you want to use the same cover, you'll need to use the MKA-47 bracket, because it will allow you to slide the trolling motor back 6", when you want to use the cover.

The Terrova and Ulterra's hang over the bow further than the other motors, so your cover won't fit the same as it did before.

The MKA-21 doesn't slide, if I remember correctly.

You wil have no slop in the operation of the TM with any of these brackets. They are solid installs.
