Default Cabela's..... or should I say Bass Pro

https://talkbusiness.net/2018/08/bas...ect-in-rogers/

Looks like Johnny Morris is continuing to "Morrisize" Cabelas. I'll bet all Cabela's store will be converted to Bass Pro and then brand name some merchandise as Cabela's.

Cabela's has been going down hill over the last 10 years but they were iconic name in the outdoors industry. The older I get the harder it is to see this stuff happen.

I think that sign change is at the Roger Arkansas store, not the Rogers, MN store???

I have a copy of their catalog from 1965. Pretty cool to thumb through to see what they carried back then.

Who really cares what they call it. It could be called "Johnnies Place" and it would be the same. Anybody who says BPS ruined Cabela's hadn't been in a Cabela's. When Cabela's went big time and started all the expansion is when they started their slide. But, can you really say they failed when they sold it for what they did? There is not one person on this board who wouldn't have grabbed those truckloads of money.

House brand vs house brand, cabelas is/was better in every category. That’s the only area that concerns me. They are beginning to force a lot of redhead crap into cabelas here and the stuff is junk. The rest will remain overpriced as both have always been.

Do you really think the BPS & Cabelas stuff come out of different factories? It's all imported seems to be the same quality or lack there of to me.
