Haven't posted here for a while paralyzed on right armso hard to do stuff will get better now found a spray paint that is real close to chrome and durable. It's called Spaz Stik tried it and was as close to crime that I could find . Used a black shiny base . Might be worth a try

The key with that is that you have to follow the process precisely and use their clear coat. Most any other clear coat will lift the aluminum particles and turn the chrome to dull gray. One of my previous employers invented the aluminum vacuum metalized coatings, which that is, and it's a really expensive, specific, and tedious process. Even beyond using the correct materials, it does take a while to get the hang of spraying it correctly. You also have to have a flawless, like glass smooth base to start with. If done right, the results can be pretty close to chrome. I formulated and was going to market this water-based version to compete against Spaz and others. Didn't work out because maybe 1 out of every 20 custom painters who were in the trial group could actually follow directions. lol Also, shelf life on those products are terrible. The aluminum the coating is made of oxidizes over time and dulls in the container.
