Default GMC Tailgate options

I thought it seemed a little gimmicky at first. But I think I would take advantage of some of its options if I had one now that I've been in and out of my truck bed lately. I asked a friend who only drives Sierra's if he was upgrading and he said he priced one out pretty much the same as his current model and it was 67K. So he's sticking with what he has.

Anyone have one with the tailgate options on their new Sierra? Do you like it? Easy to use?

Just curious

Seen a lot of the commercials for it, but it strikes me as a rust magnet. No experience with them, just seems like a ready target for sand, water and salt to land.

I had not thought about that! I was just thinking in terms of functionality.

I just ordered a Sierra. Illl let you know in a couple months. I agree about rust and damage being costly but, I’m a big fella and it will be nice getting in and out of the box.

Default Tailgate

Visiting a GMC dealership I looked at the tailgate with the dealer and both of us thought the tailgate could be a nightmare with rust etc. when age creeps up on tailgate. Stick with my FORD.

I will absolutely have one of those. Getting in the back of trucks sucks at my age. But the little steps built into my Chevy bumper corners are awesome
