Thanks all! I've already been instructed to begin Project #1, which is clean my office and get all of my hunting and fishing stuff out of here. Apparently my wife has called dibs on it and it will soon become her office. She's not even being reasonable about it. No crossbow, no compound bow, no arrows or bolts, and no walleye spinner rig making supplies. I wonder if she'll even take down my wall picture that I had made from our first trip to Canada. These were our bourbon sipping and cigar smoking chairs every evening. My new adventure has already become bittersweet.

Default You made it

Congratulations Mojo, I can only imagine that feeling of having no more work responsibilities, and how freeing that must be. I’m now less than 7 years and I’ll be looking forward to embracing that feeling myself. Enjoy it, you’ve earned it.

Now all you have to remember is every day is SATURDAY ! ! !

Now let’s see how long it takes before you automatically head towards work until you realize your going the wrong way on the way to the store.... LOL

MoJo,
Glad that you have made the date.

However, one can only fish so much.

In retirement stay interested in a lot of different things. You need to fill your day with something.

You can only have so many fish - and anything that is done too much gets stale.

If you have a family - be sure to spend a lot of time with them. You only have one life, and as you reach retirement - the number of years, the number of months, the number of hours, minutes and seconds slip by too quickly.

Soon you are headed for the big sleep with a date with the fiery furnace or the cemetery back hoe.

So, as when you worked, spend your time wisely and fill your time fully with tasks that make you happy, as well as your loved ones.

Best wishes - and above all - stay healthy - do not fall off the roof or a ladder don't fall out of a boat and drown, and don't have an automobile accident from which you may never recover. i.e. simply enjoy your final time on this planet in a way that works out best for you and yours.
