I've got a 06' 620 with a 225 E-Tec H.O. And fish LSC pretty much exclusively. I've got around 400 hours on fishing all over LSC in some nasty conditions since I've owned the boat. I would own another one in a heartbeat for this body of water. I haven't speared waves but I'm sure I could if I tried....the only time I too, water over bow was when I was just above idle, not paying attention and had the bow into the waves of a freighter and took a small amount of water over the bow. Nothing I haven't seen in other rigs. Now, I've been on LSC in a 05' 620 and a 12' 621 in nasty conditions as well. What I noticed is the 05' didn't have as much as a bumpy ride in 2-3's compared to the 06' but not much different. It was a much slower boat and and actually smaller which I noticed a difference in the casting deck. The 12' 621 was a machine and enough has been said about how well this hull really is. It was impressive but still walked away saying to myself that my 06' 620 was just fine and perfect for LSC. Who wouldn't want a new 621 but for the water your fishing a 06' 621 will be just fine in some of the worst conditions. It keeps me dry, safe and a very stable fishing platform. It all in how you drive your ride. I can make a run in some of LSC's 2-3' foot chop and be completely in control and find it to be a very comfortable ride. It's handled 4-5's with ease to but who the heck is gonna enjoy a day fishing in 5's on LSC?? Are the newer hulls setter?? Sure, but not $20-$30k better in my opinion. Don't be afraid to pull the trigger on a 06-07' 620 if you find the right one but you might find an 08' for close in price and maybe worth it to you...plus my 06' gets me into very skinny water on certain inland lakes where the new hull might be an issue? It's a good hull..even for big water!

I know this is a very old thread but my buddy and I were comparing our 620s. His is a 2013 and mine is a 2003. Is the 03 hull design the same as the 06 and 07 hulls?

08 is different than the 07 and older, 06 and 07 were a short term design and different than 05 and older. The 08 had a pad on the back and were crazy fast ( mine with a 250 HO Rude would do 68 full load GPS and 65 with three guys in it) but they changed that in 09 and kept that hull until the FS line came out

I am calm but one questions why you always seems to feel a need to answer a question that has already been answered thus contributing nothing.
