Drotto boat latch
Have a Ranger 619 vs. thinking about getting a Drotto latch. This has prolly been talked about but wanting to bring it up again. Are they ok for glass boats??? Anyone know or use them? Thx

My fishing buddy uses one on his 619 and I have one on an aluminum hull. Neither one of us has any issues.

It is very ok to use them. Make sure to get the one designed for the Rangers. I used one on my Ranger 1860 for 6ish years. Just got an 1880 and installed the Drotto within 5 days of getting it. It is an absolute must! Strongly recommend.

Thx guys I will get one. Getting tired of hanging over the trolling motor to get her hooked up. My next upgrade.

This video I would say is the most important to understand as a new Drotto owner.

I installed one last year for my Lund Impact, one of the best boat investments i've made. You may have to move your trailer winch stand forward as your boat won't be able to travel as far forward on the trailer, at least that was the case with mine.

It should be plug and play with the Ranger.

Had one on my boat (Alumacraft) the last two years. Also added EZ steps, makes loading and unloading an easy one man job.

I don't like it, it pushed my boat back on bunks almost too far as you cant adjust your winch stand. Just not for me. I got stairs instead. love the stairs. been some long threads on here about it.
Seem like they are better for roller bunks?
