Default Fulton break away hitch

Anybody ever use this add-on to your trailer. It's the one where you cut the tongue 30-34" down from the ball coupler and bolt it on. It's rated for 6000lbs. If so, have any of you put a fulton sway hitch or weight distrubution hitch in conjunction with it.

I installed one on a trailer 3 years ago. So far so good. The boat is a 17ft sea nymph with 50 hp merc. No Idea on weight but do not think it would go over 3000 lbs. Mostly used for shorter trips but does have 3 1200 mile round trips on it. No problems.
