Default helix transducer

Can you use a non down imaging helix 9 with a helix down imaging transducer for 2d and map making? I had to move a helix with mega to the bow in order to use my ulterra. I have the existing transducer still hooked up.

Thanks

HELIX 9 Sonar unit transmits 83kHz /200kHz 2d ...

The HB SI xducers (non-MEGA+) are tuned for 83kHz/200kHz - it would work fine on HELIX 9 Sonar unit (SI piezoes just wouldn’t be utilized) ...

The HB DI xducers (non-MEGA) are tuned for 455kHz/200kHz 2d ... it will work - but not optimally ...
