Default Targa 1900/FX18DV prop and engine height

Sorry posted in wrong section before.

I have a 1998 Targa 1900 (FX18DV) with a Merc 175 EFI and a 21p Laser II prop currently mounted in the highest position.

I have read some very old threads that recommend a 23p high five mounted in the middle position, is this still accurate or are there newer props that would be better?

Boat seems to go about 48 mph but I did not note the engine RPM etc.

It also has no kicker and just 2 trolling batteries under the passenger seat.

I'm not exactly a speed demon but would be nice to be able to get on plane at a lower speed without so much trim manipulation and porpoising.

Thank You
