Default Leech Lake advice?

Mrs. Spanish and I are heading up to a place on the south shore of Leech the week after next. Any advice from anyone local? We have never been to Leech before. We'll be fishing 1/22 until at least 1/25 and have all our own gear. Wouldn't mind meeting up with some good people for a few beers, too. I know someone's just dying to give me all their secret spots and it's OK if you just PM me to keep it on the down low.

I am headed up Feb 8-10 and staying on the south shore as well, near Whipholt.
I would recommend chatting with the local bait shop and Reeds in particular has been very helpful to me in the past. They give reports on line as well so you can see general bite information.
I have heard that low light periods the bites on the reefs have been good from 15-20' and daytime the bites TOUGH and have to be very mobile and stick to the deep flats in 25-30'+.
Good luck and let us know how you do!

I know Olson's reef just off the public launch can be good this time of year
