Default Has anyone mounted a structure scan transducer on an electric bow motor?

With the motor always turning will it be an issue? I know I'd have to fight the cord when I raise and lower the motor, just wondering what anyone else has experienced.

I have thought about doing this as well. It would only really work when the motor is not correcting its coarse or the data will skip spots but may not be a big of a deal. It would give you more of a heads up on fish on either side of the boat before your lines pass them.

I see a few companies out there make a set up to mount your transducer on a retractable pole on the bow. Looks a bit cumbersome, but it could work better than on an electric motor.

Had my Lss-1 on my Terrova, worked ok for DS but SS got snow angels. Hard to know where your pointed. The da ducer stick solved it. Love it when forward trolling crank baits, I have a 2025 and like to know depth changes to make corrections during trolling pass ahead of time, can see the drop offs or weed lines with the SS, added a 200-50 kHz transducer also to the stick.

FYI paid for mine like everyone...so unsolicited endorsement.

Thanks, looks like a sturdy setup.
