Find someone with a sewing machine, cut it to length, and hem the edge?

I like the idea but the battery and fuel lines come from the bottom of the splash well while everything else comes from the side. One cover wouldn't work without quite a bit of modification. |

I just finished adding the nylon net style of covering to the cables for my new 60hp Merc.
The stuff is super easy to work with other than you have to have the ends of the cables free to run through it. If you go with that, don't buy too large a size, the stuff expands as you compress it end to end, then it shrinks back down to basically the size needed for whatever is inside. It takes a minute to figure out the best way to get things through it but after that easy as pie. I bought the 1/2 inch size from Amazon, twenty five feet for less than $10. Ran both battery cables plus my smart gauge cable through one run with room to spare. I have not tried it yet, but I am pretty sure this stuff will expand enough that I am going to try and run my transducer cables through the same 1/2" size. https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 |
