A friend is gone

One of the 1st true professional walleye anglers has left us. Bill Reabe , my friend & mentor passed away Saturday evening (03/09/19) after a long battle with cancer. Bill hasn't fished the MWC circuit for about 10 years or so, but he was one of the originals, fishing the MWC since it's 1st year. Bill also fished the PWT. I wish I had Bill's record of wins, top 10 finishes & championships fished - lets just say his professional fishing resume is second to very few. Bill fished with a few different partners over the years but most of his successes were with his son Brad & long time partner Tom Hoinacki. Bill & his wife Sue were staples of the MWC circuit for years & I'm sure many of you had the chance to swing in to the Reabe's campsite to tell a story or two, share some information or maybe bend an elbow. For those of you that didn't know Bill, you missed the chance of knowing a fellow fisherman with a great sense of humor, a incredible ability to catch walleyes & a fisherman who would do his best to offer advice & help to any angler that asked.
I will miss my fiend.

Sorry to hear of his passing. I didn't know him personally, but he sounds like he was definitely a great guy. May he Rest in Peace.
