Default Ranger dealership ?

Has ranger done something different with there dealerships since the buyout? My local boat dealer always sold rangers and lunds now according to sign out front and website ranger no longer listed instead selling Vexus, Phoenix and Lund. I have not stopped in to ask him but was curious if it is a company thing. It is bedford sales in Morris Il which is where I have bought two of the three lunds i have owned and where my current one came from.

Well I wonder if the fact you can buy it at a Cabela's Bass Pro Shop took the incentive away. Lot's of overhead to be a dealer especially in seasonal markets. Great business plan from Ranger - lets sell our boats retail but use our dealers to service the boat. I would have jumped ship also.

Never thought I would see the day that Sam didn't sell Ranger Boats. I just looked on their website and you are correct, it Says Lund, Vexus and Phoenix. I know Sam is very close with the old Ranger group that has started Vexus so I guess I am not surprised by the move, but it is a strange site to see.

I too have bought my Ranger from Bedford. I know the Ranger Rep that I dealt with when I bought my boat, was a self employed rep for Ranger, he wasn't actually employed by Ranger, and is now employed directly by Vexus.

Default Ranger dealerships

I am not sure if you want to travel but a great family dealership in northeast Ohio, is Vics Sports Center. They are located in Brimfield, Ohio. I also know that Cableas in Avon, Ohio cannot sell Ranger due to distance from Vics.

I am not a salesman nor a relative of Vics, just a fisherman who has bought two Rangers from that dealership, 2012 1850 and now 2020 1850.

Sam's one of the best! The folks who created Ranger Boats are now building Vexus Boats. They have a long relationship with each other, so I can easily see why Sam chose to sell Vexus instead of Rangers now.

He's got the floor packed with Vexus and Pheonix's right now still waiting on more Lunds he said. He has 4 Ranger bass boats left.

I too am very surprised Sam is no longer a ranger dealer. The Ranger Dealer I bought mine from (Angler's Edge in Loves Park, IL) also is selling Vexus now instead of Ranger. I'm guessing the Wood family is a very good organization to work with. As a side note, Angler's Edge is also a great dealer to work with.
