Is a Lund 1775 SE Pro V to small of a boat for a kicker motor? And if not, what size motor would b good? Thinking of trolling for muskie. Thanks

It's just the right size for a kicker. Something between 6 and 8 hp should do.

When I owned a Lund 1660, I had a Honda 8 HP kicker on it. Only used it as a back up engine for when I went on big water. Still nice to have, now it is on my Ranger.

I have a 9.9 Suzuki hanging off my 1775 Impact Sport. At 123 lbs, it's kind of heavy for this short hull. With proper throttle and trimming, I can just barely keep it from porpoising. Maybe a lighter motor might be better.

I had a Lund 1700 Fisherman with a 9.9 merc kicker. Worked great and never knew it was back there until I wanted to use it. Which I did all the time. IDK but I would guess they are similiar sized boats.

Default Kicker

Nope: I have a 1775 Impact with Mercury motors - 115 ProXS and a 9.9 kicker dual controls. Works fine.

Which ever one you decide on get a true kicker the gearing and boat control is so much better also include electric start and power tilt you will not regret it. I have a Yamaha T8 now but if going new I would be sure and EFI.

I have a 1675 impact with 90hp merc and Nissan 4hp 4st at 58 pounds less than a battery. Trolls fine and pushed us home at 4.5 mph when had a issue with main.
The 4, 5, and 6hp are all same motor weight. I like the separate fuel tank just in case something happens to house fuel tank still can make it home. One downside is the small prop struggled in decent amount of wind and have to use the big wheel. Talking winds of 20mph and 2-4 ft waves.
