No paint is probably an add-on with a mark- up.

They're pretty when their shiny and new, but.................I had a Tyee with a bare aluminum hull at one time and it oxidized turning it somewhat back. The only way to get it shiny again was an acid cleaning. It was a pain in the butt. Will these shiny aluminum hulls do the same?

They’ll oxidize, but a coating of Sharkhide will keep them like new. It’s a little bit of work, but not much more than waxing.

Re: Oxidation - I can't remember all the earlier nonpainted
aluminum boats , both rental and personal which were oxidizing, maybe my memory is just bad.

Depending on the price of the boat, it could be the end of yer means.

I had a Klamath that was mostly bare aluminum, It oxidized to a pleasant grey color and never really changed much over the next 18 years.

I feel bad every time I get a chip in my new lund 1875 crossover and I miss being able to drive my boat up on shore and not having to worry about scratches.
