Default Bearded hens

I know they aren't ultra rare, they say 1 out of 100 hens. But the last 3 out of 4 seasons I've ended up with a bearded hen. I buy 2 tags and the others have all been Gobblers. All were tagged in different locations.

The first one I figured was a Jake and my son was hunting with me for just the one day so he tagged it.

The second one I had a hunch because it hung back from the decoys as 2 young Toms duuked it out.

This one surprised me as it had a 9 inch beard. I went out to get it, looked at the spurs, and there were NONE. Not even a bump. I was even able to eat the egg for breakfast!

I'm not saying it really bothers me as they eat the same. And although taking a bearded hen thins the heard a tad in the long run, there's certainly no shortage of Turkeys around here. And the other landowners are happy to see them carried out of the field.

Anybody else tagged more than one?
