Default 2001 lund 18'6" Alaskan ssi floor replacement

I have a question involving the floor/deck replacement on my boat. The floor itself is no problem. Remove, use old floor as template, re pop rivet new floor in using large flange pop rivets like the factory. The question is......the live well and storage boxes sit across the boat mid ships and is riveted to the hull above the water line. Would pop rivets be acceptable to replace the existing rivets on reinstall??? The existing rivets are more a traditional solid rivet
