In 1991 or 92 he played the Lead Group in the High School State Championship round at Lochland CC in Hastings NE.
He was in Oklahoma the night before and weather grounded his flight. He and Squeaky drove through the night to meet his obligation. He said he never considered cancelling.
He donated money, signed autographs, and took pictures with who ever asked.
I stood right behind him as he hit golf balls over 50 high Cedar Trees located at the end of a 280 yard driving range.......with his 4 iron.

He's the originator of the "oversized" driver. The Whale, then the Killer Whale started it all. Which now are small in comparison to the drivers of today.

I've always liked him.
