Default Couple questions - 2050 Reata

Looking at a couple used boats, both look nicely rigged

Differences -

1. 2010, 225 Etec 325~ hours 15hp tiller kicker

2. 2008 225 Yamaha 4 stroke 225~ hours 8hp yamaha controlled kicker.

Trolling motors/ electronics are similar. Both look to be in great shape, well taken care of. The 2010 is 3k more than the 2008.

I've had a 150 yamaha 4 stroke and loved the motor, my gut says the 2008 but looking for opinions - not a ranger expert but does anyone know if anything changed in the boat from 2008 to 2010 that I should consider?

I don't believe much changed in that time frame. These are both VS models. The LS did not come out until 2013 and the MS in 2018.

225 hrs on a Yamaha F225 is nothing - lots of life left in that motor.

Thanks guys, I knew the Etec was a better performing motor, but my experience with the yamaha four strokes pushed me in that direction. Now just need it to freeze and thaw to be able to use it.
