For those of you that have a locator mounted aft would you consider mounting it in the center? It doesn't interfere with anything in this location.

This is a very good question. I'm contemplating stern mounted electronics on my next boat as well.

Can the lowrances and HBs switch the SI views to accommodate the viewing angle? Anyone know?

I added a rear sonar unit a couple years ago, and now I could never be without it. I spend a lot of time in this rear command center.

I like the RAM mount for my rear unit. I've found that the added flexibility in positioning the sonar is really important to be able to get a good view of it from different positions in the back of the boat. The Carbon screens are a lot better, but even fine tuning it a little for the transition from standing to sitting at the back makes a difference.

As for swapping right and left on your SI display, it can be done very easily on Lowrance units. Just go to the StructureScan menu and select "Flip Left/Right".

Most of HB current models have a "Side imaging orientation" setting. Normal or reverse. Bob
