Lunds discontinued tiller

Lund announced they would no longer produce and sell the 20' fiberglass tiller. Did anybody buy one this year? Looking for some info on the last models produced and sold.

To my knowledge, 2018 was the last year they produced the gl tiller. I personally hated the design. The hull was WAY too wide and the storage/layout was poorly designed but of course that's subjective. It was a slow, rough hull compared to other 20' tillers and it really lacked the dead rise needed in a big tiller. It essentially was the 208 gl with the consoles removed and most guys I know that bought one sold them and went back to a 2075PG. The rear livewells were also known for not being completely sealed so water would splash out into the bilge. I wasn't a fan.

Extremely rough ride IMO. It slapped the water, it didn't sound real solid in my opinion either just riding in it. Mine was the 208 tyee, same hull, different top cap. Seems I have heard others in the pat complain about this hull as well. I just know when I got my new boat everyone warned me it was going to ride rougher, be loud, etc. In reality this boat rides night and day better compared to the 208 hull I had. I am just a sample size of 1, but my co-angler couldn't believe the difference either.

I owned a console 208 gl. IMO it was one of the best fishing hulls i have ever owned. The transom design allowed it to back troll like a dream. I did not have any concerns with ride quality. The only reason I sold the boat was a lack of storage. I have admired the layout of the tiller version many times.
