boat speakers

we just received 5 inches of rain at the lake in 2 days, and my new boat I didn' t have tarp secured at the one corner. So when I arrived I was shocked at how much water was sitting in boat, everything is fine had boat on water tonight. Exepct one thing my speakers crack and pop when i tuen volume up. any audio experts out there that could give advice on what problem is
