Ranger FS 619 w/Verado/Bravo FS 1 initial performance numbers

Thought I would post these for anyone trying to figure out how they should prop their boat.

Setup: Bravo FS 1 22p, all vents plugged, no kicker, 4" hydraulic jp, 1/2 tank, 2 ppl approx 300 lbs, gear, livewell empty.
Lake: calm, air temp low 70's

This is only an initial as it only lasted until we got to where we needed to go. Motor has about 4 hours so not broken in yet. Also, I am still figuring out how to use both the trim and jp to get max performance. I noticed I was able to increase speed by raising the jp but at a certain point the psi would go down so I had to drop it back down.

GPS: 56.2
RPM: 6050
On plane in under 4 seconds at 20 mph.



I spoke to Scott Reichow a couple of times and he had recommended the 23p if no kicker and 22p with a kicker. I chose the 22p in case I decided to add one later. May still get the 23p for cooler weather.

Your've got almost 400 rpm to reach the max on that motor and the livewell is not filled. I take a look at 21 or a 20.5 and you probably won't loose any top end but gain a better hole shot

agree. you do NOT want to go up in pitch.

I am trying to determine best prop with full tank of gas and 2 adults.

my new 621 without a jackplate. Mounted as high as possible.

2 adults. full tank of gas. kicker. 22.5LT 5600rpm 56mph. 22FS 6000rpm 58mph. 21FS 6150 59mph.
21FS Gas 1/4 full 6300rmp 62mph. Alone 1/4 tank 21FS 6350 63mph.

adding weight causes more bow rise so trying to figure out best prop to reduced that. lots of stop and go on the lakes I fish.

Try a Rev4. Lots of stern lift, it's flattest running prop I've tried by big margin. My favourite so far for sure.

Yep, I agree.

I'd be going to a 21 or even a 20 depending on your average load.

I think you'll see better overall performance and the same top speed.

I'm running one on a Warrior 208 with 350 VROD.

Chose this prop after consulting with Scott twice on the phone so I will try it out for awhile. He came recommended by others on this forum. Wish I had access to loaner props but don't. Gonna try this one for awhile and see how it goes.
As far as holeshot, I have no complaints there.
The motor is not broken in so I am wondering how it will perform once it is. Anyone comment on how much different a verado is once broken in.

You ran a 22.5 Bravo LT @5600 and the 22 Bravo FS @6000 I'm surprised at the rpm difference. The LT is suppose to to run a little faster and give a little more lift. Have you tried a 21p LT yet.

So was I! I have a 21 FS now. Hits 6350 me alone, 75lbs gear, empty wells, 1/4 tank gas. But too much bow rise. Next up 21LT. No jackplate I saw 63mph alone. But with full gas and 2 adults too much bow rise on start. Trying to decide if a jackplate would help but next up a 21LT.
