I don't get it if you are touching the screen aren't you going to be leaving finger prints? Water spots and finger prints make it harder to see detail.

Great White - it's not always a bad thing to miss the new introductions.

There is often a very fine line between leading edge technology, and bleeding edge technology.

I recall missing the new HDS line when they were introduced. Something like close to 100% water intrusion failure rate had everyone scrambling for LCX's.

Touch screens aren't new - but let's see how they do in the rain, in the cold, in the sunshine. If I was buying new today, it would be Gen 2.

If they used a good touch screen like an Iphone, it will be Ok. If they went the cheap route and used the type that are on a Garmin nuvi, it will be smeared up all the time.

The funny thing about technical gadgets is what a marvel they are when they first come out and how no price is too high. And then what a piece of crap they are when the next version comes out and how cheap they are to aquire then.

I wished I had waited for the HDS Touch too. (to buy my HDS Gen 2, $$$$$)
