Bart Schad has been named Ranger's General Manager and Vice President for Marketing and Sales. Schad is an 18-year veteran of Ranger Boats, with prior experience in sales, marketing and licensing spanning more than 25 years. He will lead an experienced senior leadership team with an average tenure of 25 years at Ranger from the company's Flippin, Arkansas headquarters, which is about a two hour-drive from Bass Pro Shops' headquarters in Springfield, Missouri.

There were several additional appointments within the company, including:
Becky Raynor, a Ranger team member for 16 years, is promoted to Director of Sales.
Lance Newton, a Ranger team member for 13 years, has been named Director of Product Development where he will continue to work closely with the engineering and manufacturing departments.
Jeff Gammill, a Tracker team member for 14 years, will serve as Plant Manager for Ranger, Triton and Stratos.

I'll assume, I'm guessing each person wasn't just handed the position but had to interview and prove themselves. If I worked my way up with one company and had the opportunity to transition to a better company or division as a career step forward you know I'll do it. This guy proved himself at Tracker and just stepped up to the big leagues. Congrats to him.

The plant manager one scares me. He will have Merc 50's hanging off the back of them Rangers in no time.

The fact that they changed the name of the group of builders is interesting as well. Like tracker marine is trying to reimage themselves.

I agree with the reimage. I don't it was a coincidence the ZV21 was branded a Nitro and not a Tracker.

Jeff Gammill is not the one that decided to put 50 hp motors on tracker boats.

I had the pleasure of working with Jeff some 12 years ago when I was with Tracker Marine. He was the plant manager over aluminum boats at that time.

Jeff is a pretty sharp individual and I am looking forward to working with him again now that he will be managing the plant that is building Ranger, Triton, and Stratos boats.

It looks to me like the place is in pretty good hands.

I'm happy to see that Bart has been given the GM position. He's a good guy, and has a lot of experience at Ranger under his belt.
