When Did UPS Stop Using Trucks

Just had a new, not-inexpensive microwave oven delivered by UPS. The box had "MICROWAVE OVEN" on it in huge, bold letters, and also clearly stated "Fragile!" and "This End Up!" So what did the guy do?

Rather than setting it on its bottom on our concrete step, he slammed it down there on one end so hard that my wife and I heard the "Bang!" at far ends of the house.

As a result, that end of the box was crushed, one corner of the shaped styrofoam inside the box at that end was crushed... and the microwave oven itself has a serious pucker in the metal exterior at that corner. Seems to operate properly - for the time being - and the vendor now lists it as "Out of Stock - On Backorder," so we're keeping it.

There's no way I believe such things happen by simple carelessness. These guys hate their jobs, so they take it out on their customers.
