Default HDS LIVE touch screen trouble

Has anybody had trouble with their touchscreen becoming unresponsive? Mine is sometimes unresponsive on startup and occasionally will become unresponsive on the water after using the device. All the keys work correctly and the device continues to operate normally only the touch feature is inoperable. I’m going to try recalibrating the touch screen feature and then move on to a soft and hard reset. The device was professionally dealer installed but I’ll still check the wiring again. I am getting strong on-screen voltage report. I sent Lowrance a message through their help menu and sent a service report via WiFi. We’ll see if this evokes any help from Lowrance. Thanks everybody.

Do you have the HDS Live networked with any other units?

Yes. The boat has an HDS Live on the bow and the stern that are networked.

Try removing the SD cards from the unresponsive unit.
Some cards load so slowly that it can lock up the unit at times especially during startup.

See if that resolves your issue. I'd wager it will.

If not, you should try a "soft" reset. Always backup your weypoints/routs/trails and your system settings before doing any reset.

A little update. I did a soft reset 5 days ago. Now after 3 outings totaling about 20 hours on the water the unit is operating correctly.
I’d advise anybody considering a soft or a hard reset to not only save your waypoints but to save your settings as well. Now my data sources need to be sorted back out. That’s my fault but I’ll fix it.
Happy fishing!
