Default Pro Kicker Trim

I have a 2006 Mercury Pro Kicker that is trimmed all the way up.

It will not go down.

I can hear a solenoid clicking but no movement or sound tom the trim motor.

Any suggestions on what I can try or what I should look at?

If I'm not mistaken, there should be two solenoids. Swap them. If it goes down, but not up after the swap, then you know it's the one solenoid that is bad.

I would check fuses first, but agree that if it is not a fuse then a loose wire or the solenoid is a likely candidate.

Make sure the manual latch that keeps it from going down accidentally hasn't gotten engaged. I know you've probably checked it, already. Just mentioning it to be sure.
