Default Pro XS vs Verado vs G2 fuel consumption

Has anyone seen or experienced how the fuel consumption is on the new 4-stroke proxs vs verado or evinrude G2? Considering ordering a new Ranger 620 with 300hp this fall.

Thanks

I can tell you that the new PRO XS is about atleast 1 mpg better than the I6 Verado for the same speed on my boat. You'll see about 10-15% better fuel efficiency.

I can't compare with the E-Tec

Run any outboard at 4,000 rpm and it will get nearly double the fuel mileage compared to running wide open.

I think the new Pro XS is a pretty cool motor. But I’m pretty certain it will not get as good of fuel mileage as a G2. This is one area we’re the G2 really shines!

I have a 250 pro xs V8 and I get 5.3 mpg at 3200 ish rpm according to vessel view. A guy a fish with has the same boat with the 250 l6 verado and the best economy he gets is 4 mpg. Talked to a another fisherman who went from a 621 with the 350 verado to a 621 with a 300 V8, he said it's similar performance with a few mph less on the top end. He doesn't have vessel view or smart craft on the V8 so he can't tell me the exact fuel consumption, but he said making long runs he goes through about a half tank of fuel with the V8 vs 3/4 tank with the verado. ,
