Bravo 1 22P
I am trying to figure out what model my Bravo 1 is? I have looked at many sights even Mercury. I have seen some post talking about this prop number 48-831910 22P with and without vent holes. Is it an LT, FS, or something other?

I wouldn’t bet my house on it, but based on the length and flare of the barrel, I’d guess it’s an LT.

Look at the end of the prop on the outside edge of the nut, should be stamped there.

I'm with Waxy- because of the long flared tube either a Bravo 1 LT or a Bravo 1 that has had the PVS holes added by a prop shop.

I have the same exact prop and I just went through the exact same thing. I never found an answer until someone told me to look inside the barrel as clawman is suggesting. Through that examination I determined it’s the FS model. See picture.

I’ll also add that I have no idea why Mercury currently has 7 different models of the Bravo series. It makes it just a little confusing....
Since I just went through this exact same thing here are some details that might help. The Elite Series Bravo I on the regular Mercury website is the first model and it has no PVS holes. The there are also 6 other models of the Bravo I listed on Mercury Racing's website; FS, LT, XS, OC, XC and lastly the standard Bravo I in lab finish. All of them are stamped "Bravo I" on the barrel. Since the XS and OC have 8 vents and the lab finish plus the Elite version on the link you provided to the Mercury website have no vents you can eliminate those four which leaves the FS, LT and OC. As your research showed, none of the props on any Mercury website have the part number of our props; at least none that I can find. I even called Mercury, talked to a very helpful guy and he couldn’t figure out which prop it is from the part number. He recommended looking inside the prop. I also posed the question on Mercury Racing’s website via a forum on their prop school and if click the link and scroll to the bottom of the page you'll see that chat. This guy was very helpful and the prop school netted more information than any of my other research. There are 8 segments to the prop school and a quick Google search will find all 8. I highly recommend it! http://https://www.mercuryracing.com/prop-school-part-7-barrel-length/ |

I think clawman is right, but if it’s not stamped inside the barrel, let me know. I have an FS and an LT handy, I can post a picture of them side by side if that helps.
I have an original Bravo without the vent holes like staylor was referencing too, but it’s so modded from it’s original form I don’t think it’ll be much help. Waxy Last edited by Waxy; 05-18-2020 at 07:45 PM. |

Here are some photos I took of my prop I did check the end of the housing but that didnt give me anything I could use unless someone else can decipher the stamping.
