Ranchers in extreme western Kansas have high densities and are willing to have them reduced.

Default help us out if you can

Has anyone been on one of these trips recently? I would like to go out shooting with my dad and his buddy (not extremely mobile) sometime next year. I don't really hear a lot about this anymore, but I know that we would enjoy the time together as we do not get near enough. What states do you guys recommend most and what time of year is the best to go? I've done some research but would rather hear about it from the guys on hear as I trust this more then a business website trying to sell themselves. I truly appreciate any and all help.

Another answer to the PD question appeared in the Furbearers and Other Forum in www.nodakangler.com.

Something to keep in mind, snake boots. I used to hunt them, prairie dogs in Cal. back in the 70's. Them diamondbacks would crawl into their holes. Shot more snakes then dogs at first. Then the Jack Rabbits. First time I saw one I thought they were Roadrunners. Not a myth BTW, Roadrunners. Fast as lightning. Scared the crap out of me first time I saw one, Jack Rabbits. Tasted good once you learned how to lead them. Never tried the dogs.
