I have seen a couple of videos of the Mega Live. To say I was underwhelmed would be putting it nicely. I'm sure it will get better over time, but no way would I buy forward looking sonar from Humminbird yet.

Lowrance and Hummingbird have a few more years of updates. Have used all 3 in friends boats. Garmin still has the best.

Problem with Garmin is the blind spot they keep saying they are going to fix but haven`t yet.

If you are talking about where the ghost tree would be with ghost tree reject on or high noise filtering, then I would not really worry about it. Its a pretty tiny area. I dont use GTR and keep my noise filtering pretty high and never even notice any blind spots.

If the trade off is a very tiny blind spot under some conditions or just the general poor performance of the competition, I'd take the blind spot.

I had a transducer ordered since April and I just canceled my order. I’d rather have my money back. I may buy one later but have no trust in Humminbird right now.

Every one has there own thing if you go on Garmin forums there is a ton of people that will not agree with you. They would rather not have as sharp of a picture, some of the latest screen shots from Mega are showing improvement. I am sure Hbird will take a few updates and tweeks to get it right. Me personally would make better use of Mega 360, I have not even considered any of the Live options out there.
