Default boat seat with arm rests

need to add a bow boat seat for when i take extra people along. thinking about one with arm rests such as
Moeller Heavy Duty Standard Boat Helm Seat. It is a hard plastic that doesn't fold down.

anyone have any experience with this type of seat.

I really don't think that that is such a good idea.

Lots of reason's why would want the bow seat to fold down.

I have also found that arm rests get in the way on a fishing boat.

Be safe

I have folding arms on my helm seats. The arm rest are nice for long runs
and the fold out of the way when not needed. But they cost more money.

yes i have the arm rests on my helm seats... thought arm rests might be nice for jigging and pulling bottom bouncers from the bow.

I agree with REW that the arm rest get in the way. I took them off and stored them for the last 30 years. But I guess it all depends on your boat set up and how you fish.

REELMAN,

Consider that a bow seat that won't fold down may block your vision while operating your boat.

My dad had that same seat in his boat up front. It was extremely comfortable but as others stated visibility was an issue. He didn't keep it there very long. Of course when he fished in it we referred to it as his thrown so that may be another reason he took it out. lol
