Default More info

I'm the second owner of the boat so no warranty. When I said that I didn't want to spend a bunch of money it's not a money issue but a age issue. I'm retiring in a couple of years and will buy my forever boat at that time. The interesting thing on this boat is that it only spent about 25 nights sitting in the water the rest of the time it was trailered when fishing was done.

I sold a 2007 Lund Classic Sport 1660 in April for $16,000. Granted I had updated electronics and an ipilot.

My point is there is good value in that boat still. Fix it.

The thing I can't stand is paying taxes for a big purchase ... would easily cover the cost of a transom just paying the gov't.

Cobber,
Go to your local Lund dealer and ask about a warranty repair. If none is offered, ask if they will give you a discount on the repair work for you.

Good luck

----
Price of repair parts will run somewhere under $500. The rest of the charge will be labor.

Good luck

Labor is why you don't buy a Ford Diesel (especially a 6.0 liter). To do any above-superficial work to the engine, the cab has to be removed - the engine worked on - then the cab put back. LOL!

Me, I would fix it myself. But I am Irish and cheap. I put my pants on the same way the guy who would fix it does. So if he can do it, so can I.

2007 Lund 1660 Classic....Sounds like a worthy boat to fix. See if you can get a Lund Factory transom. It will add $$$$ to the value of the boat when you get ready to sell it.
