Awesome footage. So long as the rig is bonded and grounded it creates a faraday cage, stay below and you will be fine. The electronics are toast though

Lighting while in a boat scares the heck out of me. One day we were fishing and there were clouds, but nothing serious. My buddy says listen to this, every time he would swing his rod back to fish, you could hear static electricity buzzing. I told him put down that lighting rod he was holding and we hustled back in.

Maybe that's where the term Crow's Nest came from - the lookouts would get fried to a black crisp!
