Does using a senko/tube worm multiple times loose it's effectiveness?

If you use a o ring on your worm you will catch a lot more fish with out tearing it up. I've used the same worm for for 20 fish before I changed it.

Whoa! I use the O ring also. The smallmouth I catch tear those up with vicious hits and headshakes. Yours must be kinder and gentler.

I've always felt that when a plastic gets "broke in" is seems to work better. That is with the exception of heavily salted Senkos because they do not last that long.

I've been having a blast with the 2-4 lb smallmouths on the Columbia River, as you know SM are really hard on baits. The Z-man finesse TRD on a 1/10th oz. head will last all day on many many fish. Favorite colors are green pumpkin goby, meat dog and PB&J. (hint- if/when the little metal keeper wire breaks off use a small piece of surgical tubing below the bait to hold it up).

I use the bass pro shops worms, and buy the big packs

I wacky rig them and they both last and have nice action.

I find real deal senkos while having marginally more action are too soft and get shredded. I also think at 75 cents a worm, something doesn't add up there.

I use green pumpkin and blue-black almost exclusively and do pretty well. I've tried the o-ring and find it's just a lot of faffing about to save a few cents...I'd rather use the BPS ones and not have to think about it when I'm buying them for $8/30.

zman stuff is amazing for durability...unless you store it somewhere hot. Then it melts, and is ruined. I've had enough trays of plastics wrecked that way that I don't really use them unless I have a whole ZMan tray and I keep it in a cool place, never leaving it in my boat to roast in the driveway after fishing is done...always brought back into the garage.

Yup, there's something in the Z-Man plastics that makes them incompatible with other plastics. They melt all other plastics that you store them with when you take them off. I like to use one of the cup holders on my boat to put my leftover plastics in. The Z-Man plastics melted my other plastics and ruined the bottom of the cup holder too.
