Default Is there any way that an HGT Archive can be reopened?

The "Home Grown Tackle: Crawler Harness" thread inthe HGT Archives is an incredible resource, but it's not what it was when it was closed to further posts in early 2012. Mainly a number of product manufacturers/vendors have ceased to be (and the links in the archived thread are accordingly dead), and others have since taken their place. People might like to update their thoughts on preferred products to use given that there's been another 8 years of understanding our prey and technological advancement for pursuing them, too.

Is there any way that thread could be opened for a limited period of time to refresh it?

Start a new thread "crawler harness 2nd edition"? NOT being a smart a**, just a suggestion.

Dave, the problem with doing that is that a new thread would just get quickly buried. The whole point of those archived threads is to keep them readily seen and easily accessible. Allowing one to be refreshed as I'm suggesting - if that's do-able - would ensure that's true for the new information as well as the old.
