We've reached a point in the US where losing a World Trade Center number of people to COVID every 4 days is acceptable. But at least the case fatality rate is low, right?

I wouldn’t trust any of the numbers based on the fake news in the US. I feel in a couple of years we will have K-TV for news just like in China.

I hope there is a vaccine to shut people up n get back to life so Ontario and Americans can enjoy and profit off the tourism industry.

For the sake of the “Canada Eh” section of Walleye Central a solution to this problem isn’t just something to hope for it’s absolutely necessary. I really feel if the borders do not open we are looking at an extended period of time of closures, selling of businesses, restoring these businesses, then the return of clients. I realize choices are tough for government officials to make but at some point survival means more than protecting people from an illness.

300,000 is the number the fake news isn’t reporting. That’s 1000 extra dead people every day this year. 1300 a day if you start counting March 1st. If terrorists were killing 1000 people a day we’d nuke somebody by Monday.

LOL. What are you going to do to stop it? NO country has this figured out. Not one. US has it worse than everyone because that country is the wealthiest country in the world. its not close. US has over 850m airline passengers annually. No country comes remotely close. US travels far more than any other country. Again, not close. Name a country doing well battling this thing? There isn't one. This thing isn't going anywhere. Its here to stay. Its the flu, however, far more potent, harmful and contagious. We're all going to have to learn to live with it. No politician has a magic wand to end it. It didn't matter who was in the west wing. Gov of all these countries are doing what they think is best and us citizens are following marching orders. Everyone has an opinion but to be honest i'm not sure there is a right answer. To think the left or the right has the correct plan is hilarious.

Terrorists? We all know where this came from. What can anyone do about it? Nothing!

Pretty much spot on there LoDo. The United States obviously has a high case rate but it's pretty laughable when the media makes claims as to where they rank in the world. I've been to a few countries outside the US. The virus is there in earnest it's just not being tested for or “reported� on.

Everyone needs to do their part to beat this pandemic, when the dust settles then start pointing fingers. I'm hopeful for a vaccine coming out soon, then we can get back to a somewhat normal life on BOTH sides of the border.
