Default Heading sensor power

I want to access power for my new Minnkota Heading sensor under the console of my 621. My question is how do I hook up a + and a - to the power blocks under there? Is one block positive and the other negative? There are blades available on both.
Thanks

Typically, yes. Get a digital multimeter. Set it on the 20 volt DC selection. Touch the red probe to one side of the power block and the black probe to the other side. You will read either positive or negative voltage on the meter. If it reads negative, you have the reds and black probes backwards. Red is for positive, black is for negative.
